Asymmetric front horseshoe, the wide branch of the horseshoe favors the floating of that side on penetrable surfaces, while the narrow and blunt one favors its sinking. In collateral ligament and suspensory ligament of the fetlock injuries, the wide branch and the wide toe must be positioned under the lesion, the narrow branch is placed under the subchondral bone lesions. The wide branch of the horseshoe and the foot surface of it are flared to avoid pressure on the sole.
