Bone spavin, collateral ligaments injuries, desmitis of the branches of the suspensory ligament, hoof distorsions, distal limb deviations, subchondral bone lesions.
Front. The wide branch of the horseshoe favors the floating of that side on penetrable surfaces, while the narrow and blunt one favors its sinking. In collateral ligament injuries, the wide branch must be positioned under the lesion. The narrow branch should be placed under the subchondral bone lesions. The wide branch of the horseshoe and the foot surface of it are flared to avoid pressure on the sole.
