Source For Horse Horseshoe Composite Rod is a uniquely engineered
material made of tungsten carbide particles in a matrix of extremely strong
nickel-copper alloy. This combination provides the ultimate in traction,
wear, and shock resistance for your horses.

Each rod is hand-made with specific particle-size (fine-medium-coarse)
with an approximate 65% tungsten carbide to best meet your hard
surfacing needs.

Rods are applied easily in a gas forge or with an oxy-acetylene torch. The
rods are designed for a lower melting point or a larger particle size when
needed. 

The strong nickel-tungsten alloy grips each carbide particle tightly,
providing piece-of-mind that you have provided the best in both maximum
wear, resistance, and traction.

Fine – 10-14 – 5/64” to 1/16”
Medium - 6-14 – 1/8” to 1/16”
Coarse - 5-8 – 5/32” to 3/32”
