Source For Horse Horseshoe Composite Farrier Rod is a uniquely engineered
material made of tungsten carbide particles in a matrix of extremely strong
nickel-copper alloy and come pre fluxed (powdered). This combination provides the ultimate in traction, wear, and shock resistance as well as a streamlined application process due to it being pre fluxed.

Each rod is hand-made with specific particle-size with an approximate 65% tungsten carbide content to best meet your hard surfacing needs.

Rods are applied easily in a gas forge or with an oxy-acetylene torch. The
rods are designed for a lower melting point or a larger particle size when
needed.

The strong nickel-tungsten alloy grips each carbide particle tightly,
providing piece-of-mind that you have provided the best in both maximum
wear, resistance, and traction.
