The Werkman Ortho-Kit 2.0 provides an effective and straightforward way for you to turn Werkman horseshoes into different therapeutic shoes.

In June 2013, a comprehensive scientific study on the subject of horseshoeing was launched; Funded by the Werkman Horseshoe Company and led by Dr. Jenny Hagen (Veterinary Anatomical Institute (Veterinär-Anatomisches Institut) of Leipzig University). 

The study examined the effect of different horseshoes and shoeing modifications, while taking into account various types of soil, on:

• The pattern of distribution of the vertical compressive forces imposed on the hoof
• The size of the area bearing the load
• The pattern of gait
• The orientation of the phalanges

For the development of the Werkman Ortho-Kit, the findings of this study were used.
